The Taj Mahal is India's most famous monument, and for good reason. The Golden Triangle sets off the Taj Mahal in all its mystical glory against the beautiful Pink City of Jaipur in colourful Rajasthan, making for an intensive and spiritually fulfilling four days.
01 DELHI - AGRA
We meet in Delhi and make an early morning transfer to the railway station for the Shatabdi Express to Agra, a journey of approximately three hours. On arrival we transfer to your hotel and begin our sightseeing tour, starting at the immortal Taj Mahal. We spend several hours exploring this sacred sight and learning its history before exploring Agra’s Red Fort set high above the city. Overnight is spent at Agra.
02 AGRA - JAIPUR
We take a morning excursion to Fatephur Sikri, the deserted city. In the afternoon we transfer by car to Jaipur, 235 kms away, and check into your hotel on arrival.
03 JAIPUR
We take a morning city sightseeing tour of the Pink City of Jaipur. Jaipur was constructed in 1727 out of local pink sandstone that glows gloriously in the setting sun, providing a spectacular backdrop to the typical Rajasthani cultural sights that continue to thrive here in their traditional manner. We take time to absorb the charms of this wonderful city, visiting the elaborate City Palace and the Royal Observatory. The afternoon is free to explore the colourful bazaars and shop for traditional Rajasthani handicrafts.
