01 KATHMANDU - POKHARA
You are met in Kathmandu and we travel by car to Pokhara, 203 kms away. The drive is stunning, and on arrival you check into your hotel.
02 - 03 POKHARA
Two days at leisure to explore the beautiful city of Pokhara. Nestled on the shores of a stunning, clear lake reflecting the Himalayas on all sides, Pokhara is the base for many treks in the Annapurna region, and has a life and soul epitomized by a vibrant mix of exhausted, happy hikers and traditional colored prayer flags. The beautifully calm Phewa Lake is towered over by the magnificent summit of Machhapuchhare, rising 6977m up behind it in the clean air. Phewa Lake is the second largest in Nepal, and is the centre of everyday activity in Pokhara - on the eastern shore is a bustling lakeside community that provides a welcome relief to many weary mountain walkers and houses a number of hotels, restaurants and handicraft markets.
There are also a number of ancient temples worthy of exploration in the town, the hilltop monastery overlooking the city, and a number of outlying Tibetan villages. Many travelers are attracted by Pokhara's strong historical connections to the Magar and Gurung people, who are now better known worldwide as the courageous Gurkha soldiers of the British army.
04 POKHARA - KATHMANDU
We transfer to the airport for your flight back to Kathmandu. On arrival, you transfer onto your onward flight, or to the station for your onward journey, or transfer to your hotel. Tour ends.
