A relatively accessible trek for those with a reasonable level of fitness, reaching a maximum altitude of 4200 m. Manali lies at the head of the Kulu Valley, or ‘Valley of the Gods’. Explorers have long been drawn to this lush valley with its rich and fruitful vegetation, and it has become a natural base for expeditions deep into the Himalayas. Now a popular destination for tourists, Manali lies of the banks of the River Bees and is surrounded by the Himalayan cedar forest. From these lush surroundings, we gradually move into alpine territory, gasping at the stunning rock formations and marveling at the remoteness of the landscape. Nothing but nature touches this land, making it an attractive trek for those wishing to escape modern living and return to the natural world for ten days.
01 DELHI
Arrive in Delhi, where you are met and transfer to your hotel.
02 DELHI – MANALI
We transfer by road to Manali, a 14 hour drive, stopping en route for dinner and refreshment.
03 MANALI
A day at leisure to soak in the new surroundings, and to acclimatize to the altitude.
04 MANALI - KHANAUL
We begin our trek at Jagat Sukh, on the left bank of the River Beas, walking along the lush path among the walnut trees of Dhuhangen Nallah. We reach Khanaul at 2020 m, and rest for the night.
05 KHANAUL - CHIKKA
A 6 km trek takes us across the alpine plateau with stunning rock formations, reaching an altitude of 3900 m.
06 & 07 CHIKKA - SERI
An easy trek in the alpine forest with excellent views of the stunning peak of Deo Tibba, before heading back to Seri for overnight camp. We reach a maximum altitude of 4200 m.
08 CHIKKA - MANALI
Back in Manali, take the time to relax and rest. Reflect on the achievements and sights of the past days with a sense of satisfaction.
09 MANALI - DELHI
We return to Delhi by road, stopping en route for dinner. On arrival in Delhi you check into your hotel.
10 DELHI
Transfer to airport or station for your onward destination.
Cost Include
