Our journey takes us into the heart of Rajasthan. We immerse ourselves in the ancient and splendorous culture of the cities of this desert state with its forts and palaces, absorbing the many religious images that give India's its rich cultural fabric today. This two week itinerary allows an intense and meaningful search into India's rich cultural past, unraveling the many tangled religious threads and discovering the history behind the many battles that took place over Rajasthani territory.
01 DELHI
On arrival at the Delhi airport, our representative will welcome you, transfer to hotel & check in. Your Delhi sight seeing tour includes the visit to old Delhi, stunning monuments like India Gate, the parks & gardens, the busy bazaars.
02 DELHI
Your day start with a refreshing breakfast, then you'll go for Delhi sight seeing. Break for lunch. Shop in the evening at the busy bazaars of Delhi.
03 AGRA
Early morning breakfast, departure for Agra and visit to en route places. Check in at the hotel. City sight seeing tour includes the visit to Taj Mahal, built by the Mogul emperor Shah Jahan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains, perhaps the most perfect architecture in the world. Break for lunch, visit to old city & market place.
04 JAIPUR
After early morning breakfast, departure to Jaipur, hotel check in. The sight seeing starts with visit to the Amber Fort, which includes elephant ride to the Fort. Break for lunch, after that visit to the old city & markets for shopping.
05 JAIPUR
The day starts with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. The city sight seeing tour includes visit to the City Palace Museum, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal - the wind palace. Break for lunch. Visit to the busy streets & shopping at lavish markets of Jaipur
06 MANDAWA
Early morning breakfast, departure to Mandawa, hotel check-in. Visit to the 'Havelis' of Nawalgarh & Mandawa, and in the afternoon, transfer to Bikaner. After arrival, check in at pre-booked Hotel for overnight stay.
07 BIKANER
After breakfast, drive to Junagadh Fort and the Camel breeding i.e., 10 kms away, an institute for research works on camels. The first of its kind in Asia, you can see camels of all types, sizes & ages. Lunch will be provided.
08 JAISALMER
Early morning breakfast, departure to Jaisalmer, hotel check in. City Sight seeing tour starts with the visit to the Jaisalmer Fort, break for lunch, visit to Patwon Ki Haveli - a five storey mansion with carved pillars & murals of Salim Singh.
09 JAISALMER
After Breakfast, visit to Gadsisar Lake, which had once supplied water to the city; the temples & archways around it have been built by a courtesan. Break for lunch. Later in the evening take an excursion to Sam - 45 kms away, is known for its sand dunes & is the venue for the Desert festival. Get the actual feel of the desert by enjoying a camel ride on the sand dunes.
10 JODHPUR
After breakfast, transfer to Jodhpur. Upon arrival, check in at your pre-booked hotel. Afternoon, visit the Mehrangarh Fort which literally means "Majestic Fort", located at the very center of the city. There are, in all, three gates, each built to commemorate a particular victory, as well as to reinforce the fort. It has a collection of musical instruments, palanquins, furniture & cannons on the forts' ramparts are well preserved. Close to the fort complex lies this white marble cenotaph, built in 1899, in commemoration of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Rare portraits of Jodhpur's rulers are, also, to be seen at Jaswant Thada. Also visit the Clock Tower - the city center. Shopping at the world famous handicraft market.
11 RANAKPUR - KUMBHALGARH - UDAIPUR
After breakfast, leave for Udaipur via Ranakpur & Kumbhalgarh. Visit to the Ranakpur Jain Temple, break for lunch. Visit to Kumbhalgarh Fort, in the evening arrival to Udaipur, hotel check in.
12 UDAIPUR
After Breakfast, drive to City Palace Museum and Jagdish temple, break for lunch. Visit to Saheliyon ki Bari, Fateh Sagar, Moti Magri - Pratap Smarak.
13 UDAIPUR
Early morning breakfast, excursion to Eklingji - Nagda, break for lunch. Back to Udaipur and after shopping at the colorful markets, in the evening, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola.
14 DELHI
Early morning breakfast, check out from the hotel. Fly to Delhi. End of tour.
